Item No:78020 1/350 Scale Japanese Destroyer Yukikaze The Yukikaze formed part of the escort force for the Yamato's final mission and returned with many of her survivors. This 1/350 scale model depicts the Yukikaze as she appeared on that fateful mission in April 1945, complete with radar equipment and increased anti-aircraft armament. Yukikaze was commissioned in January 1940 as the eighth ship of the Kagero-class and was referred to as the "lucky destroyer" since she took part in many notable actions, including Midway and Leyte Gulf, and always returned unscathed. Line her up with the Yamato to create an impressive display. |
