J-10S two-seater aircraft bases on the development of same type single-seater fighter to be its fighter/trainer aircraft, first test flighted in 2003. With the tandem cockpit added a back seat for the trainer, J-10S can not only undertake the training mission of J-10, but also increase the attack performance of multi-functional.
